Air Asia has successfully completed these tasks. Skytrax has voted AirAsia the best low-cost airline in the world since 2009. Today AirAsia operates the largest network in Asia and Australia. Customers can select between different seating classes: Economy Standard, Hot Sat, Quiet Zone and Premium Flatbed. AirAsia provides free in-flight entertainments known as Xcite Inflight Entertainments especially for premium air travelers to Gold Coast, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Beijing, Wuhan, Chongqing, Shanghai, Xi An, Haneda, Sapporo, Osaka, Seoul, Busan, Mauritus, Taipei, Delhi and Tehran.

Air Asia also has a privileged programme named AirASIA BIG. This allows travellers to earn points on each of their AirAsia services and cash them in with free travel, accommodation, catering or luggage. There is also the Red Carpet Escort Guest Services, which provides escort services from check-in to luggage reclaim.

AirAsia also has Premium Flex, which offers the comfort of an uncomplicated trip. Premier Flex travelers can modify their timetable up to two hour before departure and even convert their seats to a hot seat as long as it is available. Unchecked luggage may not weigh more than 32 kg.

AirAsia charges per kg for luggage in excess of the free luggage quantity reserved in advance. As an alternative, customers can also buy 15 kg luggage for national and foreign air travel. On AirAsia internal services, all luggage must be check-in at the airports at least 45 mins. before depart.

For AirAsia International, AirAsia X and all Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA 2) services, all luggage must be handed in at the airports at least one hours before take-off. Especially for AirAsia FLY-THRU customers, their luggage is marked for its ultimate destinations as well.

Each AirAsia customer may only have one item of stowage space on the aircraft, which must not be greater than 56cm x 36cm x 23cm inclusive of grips, bicycles and side bags and must be able to hold the baggage in the baggage compartmen. In addition, travellers can take a small pocket of notebook, purse, backpack or any other small pocket not exceeding 40cm x 30cm x 10cm.

The object must pass under the front passengers seats. Note that small children under 2 years do not receive hand luggage.
